Thank you for visiting my website. I am Paul S. Cerny, yes, the enigmatic chap in the photo above with that seeming look of deep analytical inquiry about the meaning of life– actually, I think I was trying to decide whether I was hungry for Mexican or Italian. Goofy photo aside, I’m 27 years old and teach art to elementary school children. I am originally from Southern California, but have since found my niche in the once quaint, now growing, city of Rosenberg, TX with my dear, loving, supportive, patient, wife Devin and sweet dog-son Henry. Art has been my joy and passion since childhood. It is when I am immersed in my art that I am truly content… it nourishes me, and I lose all sense of time. In the past, I have always done art for myself or family and friends; however, upon the suggestion and encouragement of my wife and family, I have recently decided to share my work with others. It is my goal as an artist to inspire others, evoke emotion, and tickle the visual cortex. I am a proud member of the Art League of Fort Bend and my artwork can be viewed at the upstairs level of the Morton Street Gallery in downtown Richmond. My style leans heavily towards fantasy, but my paintings are often abstract focusing on texture and strongly contrasting colors. My first love was pen and ink and have since incorporated this beloved medium into a unique style of collage, of which involves the meticulous cutting and pasting of a variety of paper into intricate patterns and representations that satisfy my whimsy. Please browse all of my pages, and I hope you find pleasure in the images I have posted thus far. Continue to check back. I have only just started this website, and will continually be updating it and adding more artwork.
